The members of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Cake[/lastfm] are very excited about the debut of their new animated video for “Long Time,” a song from their album Showroom for Compassion. The animated music video was created by Callicore Films, a French CG art studio which has also worked with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]the Buzzcocks[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]John Lee Hooker Jr.[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Arrested Development[/lastfm], among others.

“Long Time” is the second single from Showroom for Compassion. It follows the release of “Sick Of You,” a single that remained a Top 5 hit on Alternative Radio for ten weeks. The new album, released by their own label Upbeat Records, is Cake’s first album to go to Number One in their nearly 20-year existence, and it is the first release since Pressure Chief seven years ago.

Cake recently wrapped up a sold out tour and will be hitting the road again, starting April 14 in Washington D.C., with stops in New York, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and more. Scroll down for the complete tour schedule.
