Las Vegas is known the world over for its year round party. But one can only imagine the debauchery that takes place during any one of the dozens of massive New Year’s Eve celebrations in Sin City.
Got an old junker in the driveway? Sell it. How about a baseball card collection. It goes to the highest bidder. Have one child to many? There’s a black market for that sort of thing. The goal here is to round up enough money to ring in the new year with two of arguably the most important bands in rock today.
Grammy Award winners, The Black Keys, have just announced a two-night headlining gig at The Joint at The Hard Rock Hotel Sunday, December 30 and Monday, December 31st staring at 9:30PM. Meanwhile, Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced they’ll play a few blocks away inside the Chelsea Ballroom at the Cosmopolitan with their set beginning at 11PM PT. According to the Las Vegas Sun, the show includes a midnight countdown all to be screened for Strip revelers on the 65-foot digital marquee.
Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday, September 10th at 10AM PT via Ticketmaster and on-premise box offices. The Black Keys tickets start at $99 while the Chili Peppers’ command a slightly heftier $150 per tickets. Both venues offer special New Year’s Eve packages.
