Silversun Pickups Release Free EP Featuring All Of The Bands On Their Fall Tour

To commemorate the start of their fall tour, Los Angeles bliss-rockers Silversun Pickups have released a free digital EP that features live tracks from all three of the tour’s support acts, School of Seven Bells, Cloud Nothings and Atlas Genius.

The four-track EP has Silversun Pickups performing “The Pit” on Late Show with David Letterman, followed by Australian indie upstarts Atlas Genius performing their song “Trojans” at Crown City Studios in Pasadena, CA. Ethereal New York band School of Seven Bells contribute a live version of “White Wind,” from their most recent full-length, Ghostory. Raucous Ohio buzz band Cloud Nothings round out the release with a run through “Stay Useless” at popular Cleveland concert venue the Grog Shop. The EP can be downloaded on the Silversun Pickups website.

The Silversun Pickups tour kicks off in Santa Monica, CA, tonight (September 13), with School of Seven Bells and Atlas Genius supporting through September 21. Cloud Nothings take over for School of Seven Bells when the tour resumes on October 8 in Oxford, MS, through October 25. Silversun Pickups will also appear at this year’s Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans on October 27.
