How much impact can a band have in two minutes and fifteen seconds? A ton, if you’re Bad Religion. Add in production chops from Joe Barresi, known for his work with Queens of the Stone Age and Tool, and you’ve got yourself one hell of a punk rock anthem.

Greg Graffin, the band’s singer and co-songwriter explains, “If any band should have a song with that title it’s us. It just sounds like a perfect Bad Religion song.”

“I was kinda scared that True North would be a bad album,” confesses online fan DamnedGamers. “I thought there was no way Bad Religion could deliver again, and again, and again, and again, etc. But seems like the album is going to kick ass. I’m totally excited!”

During a April 2011 concert Boston, Graffin stirred rumors of a looming hiatus saying “after this year you probably won’t be seeing much more of us. We’re going to try one more album and then all join the navy, do honest work.” Fortunately, later that summer at KROQ’s Weenie Roast, fears were quelled when he revealed the band would go back in the studio for another album. At Live 105’s BFD, bassist Jay Bentley confirmed the band was indeed planning a new album.

That time has come. Bad Religion’s latest full-length album True North, hits January 22nd and is now available for pre-order at the band’s online store.
