After teasing fans by releasing an anagram of letters containing the title of the band’s forthcoming fifth studio album, Alice in Chains has revealed that full-length The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here is on target for a May 2013 release date. It will be their second album since the band regrouped in 2005.

The announcement follows the January release of the Alice in Chains’ sci-fi themed music video, “Hollow,” the album’s first single that has already topped the Mainstream Rock radio charts.

The band has mapped out a U.S. tour to coincide with the new full-length, kicking off in Miami Beach, FL, on April 25, with shows booked through May 25, when Alice in Chains headline the 2013 Rocklahoma fest alongside Guns N’ Roses and Korn. The U.S. dates are followed by appearances at the UK’s Download Festival and Rio de Janeiro’s Rock in Rio.
