HFS Locals Only Spotlight: Split Five “Fall Time Low Boy”

Tonight’s HFS Locals Only Spotlight features Baltimore pop-punk band Split Five.

These four guys have been playing together for five years now, and they’ve got two missions:

  1. Party.
  2. Work as hard as they can until they are someday playing huge arenas and celebrating the release of their tenth studio album.

The first objective gets achieved all the time, and the second one may be well on its way, they’ve been writing like crazy, playing a ton of shows, selling a zillion copies of their Sumthin’ Bout Heels EP, and preparing for the release of their first full-length album this spring.

The title of the song we’re instroducing you to is obviously poking fun at some of the bands that influenced ’em, Fall Out Boy and hometown heroes All Time Low…but they also look up to New Found Glory, Yellowcard, Hit The Lights, and Eve 6.

If you want to follow Split Five’s exploits, follow ’em on Facebook…and if you have a local band you’d like us to feature on the HFS Locals Only Spotlight weeknights at 8 PM, here’s how to get your stuff to us.
