Tonight’s HFS Locals Only Spotlight features the broadcast premiere of a new, very personal song entitled “Forever” by Baltimore new wave/alternative rock band The Perfects.

The song–musically reminiscent in ways of classic U2, and a notable departure from their usual danceable anthems–was written by frontman Ric Peters as a musical love letter to his girlfriend. “We dated when we were younger and then did not see each other again for 15 years,” he explains, “so the video is a reflection of that time and distance and a bond that never fades.  “Out of all the videos that have been shot this one is my favorite and most personal.”

Peters not only wants people to hear the new song; he also wants them to download it for free and use it to express their own feelings for someone special. “If you love someone, share this with them,” says Peters.

Get to know the band–and their other music as well–by checking out their website and following them on Facebook…and if you’ve got a local band you’d like us to feature on the HFS Locals Only Spotlight weeknights at 8 PM, here’s how to get your stuff to us.
