Right from the start of Franz Ferdinand’s video for “Evil Eye,” you’re warned that this clip might not be safe for children. And trust us, it isn’t.

Shot like a low budget schlock fest, the clip is a nod to all those cheesy B-horror movies from the ’70s. The band is outfitted in fake mustaches, riding around in a hearse as fake blood spurts out of decapitated mannequins, sink faucets and a crow’s mouth. And of course, you get a shot of the unattached eye that is presumably evil.

On the song off their latest album, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, which sounds more than a little bit like Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust,” frontman Alex Kapranos sings, “I have the evil eye/ I see your soul”  as he fondles a mummified corpse.
