Having just published his tell-all Autobiography, the Boy With the Pen in His Hand is now eyeing other literary endeavors, as well as a new solo album.
In a Q&A with the Moz fan site True to You, Morrissey stated, “In 2013 I published my Autobiography and it has been more successful than any record I have ever released, so, yes, I am mid-way through my novel.” No word yet on whether the U.S. version of his novel will excise and edit down any homosexual themes, or if Johnny Marr has any plans to write is own novel.
For those more interested in his records, Morrissey also noted, in response to a question about how it felt to play a concert in Istanbul in 2012, “Well, we are about to record our new album, and one of the tracks is called ‘Istanbul‘.”
Read the entire lengthy fan-submitted Q&A here, where Moz goes on to talk about his favorite song he’s ever written (spoiler it’s “Life is a Pigsty” naturally) and later writes, “Many people have told me that they stopped eating flesh because of something I said.” He does have a way with words, doesn’t he.
