The track, off his upcoming album, Morning Phase, out February 25, is his first new original song in six years and has the singer mellowing out a bit. With a little help from an acoustic guitar, mandolin and twinkling keys, he makes a case for a little human connection singing, “I’m so tired of being alone” and “Don’t leave me on my own.”

The song, which will be featured in an upcoming episode of Girlsis the first single from Beck’s 12th album, Morning Phase, his first release in over five years and according to a statement is “a companion piece of sorts to Beck’s 2002 classic Sea Change.” Beck himself though has been quick though to refute the claims that it’s a sequel to Sea Change.
