A single from Korn‘s 2013 album, The Paradigm Shift, ‘Spike In My Veins’ cuts to the core of one today’s biggest questions: What qualifies as news? “We are all so caught up in watching crazy media on the internet and TV that we are manipulated into ignoring that our privacy has all but disappeared,” said singer Jonathan Davis stated on the band’s website.

Among the barrage of video clips uses are Kanye West‘s run in with paparazzi, President Obama’s frequent TV appearances, Miley Cyrus’ twerking, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, protestors doused with pepper spray, notorious internet trouble-makers Anonymous, Justin Beiber and an abundance of riot police.

The video makes it’s point loud and clear; media is messing with our minds and more importantly, our privacy, all while we sit dazed and confused by shiny objects on TV. And, as Korn believe, we’re doing this to ourselves.

Korn will continue to tour in support of The Paradigm Shift, hitting Auckland, New Zealand on February 20, followed by a string of Australian and European dates.
