It only took a day for Julian Casablancas‘ new song with The Voidz, “Where No Eagles Fly,” to get a proper music video, too.
After debuting the song online on Monday (Sept. 8), Casablancas took to his record label’s YouTube page to release the clip for the new song, which will be featured on his Strokes side project’s new album out later this month.
In keeping with the original’s throwback vibe, the video for “Where No Eagles Fly” seems like it could have come straight out of a time many decades ago, from Casablancas and co.’s retro clothing to the faded, blurred effect on the video.
Images of New York City flank the group as they pose for photos around town and play in decrepit old clubs. There’s also some fairly cheesy ’80s-esque video effects and transitions along the way.
