Foo Fighters Confirm Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard and The Eagles’ Joe Walsh Among ‘Sonic Highways’ Guests

In the initial announcement of the new Foo Fighters album, Sonic Highways, due on November 10 via Rockwell Recordings, word was that the record would be guest-heavy, as the collection was recorded in cities across America utilizing different studios and musicians local to that city.

Consequence of Sound has now confirmed some of the artists that will be appearing on the LP, and they are indeed heavy-hitters of rock and roll: Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for CutieThe Eagles’ Joe Walsh, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Nate Mendel, bassist for the band, recently spoke with NME about the experience and reasoning behind working with who they did.
