Sunday has taken a bloody turn with the release of Silversun Pickups’ first track, “Bloody Mary (Nerve Endings)” from their upcoming album, Neck Of The Woods.
Despite a name that would send any schoolyard child into fear, the catchy dream-pop single shimmers with lush guitar distortion while evoking a playful, almost innocent feel.
Lead singer Brian Aubert said that the Silversun Pickups were “so happy” that “Bloody Mary” was chosen as their lead radio single because it encapsulates a “prettier, dreamier” sound that they’ve always been fond of.
’90s alternative superstars Eve 6 are back together with their original lineup for the first time since 2004, and MTV just got their first single, “Victoria”. The moment you hear it, you’ll definitely notice that they’ve given their sound a very noticeable update. (Dare we say…pop punk? Or maybe just pop?)

Gorillaz’s Damon Albarn, OutKast’s Andre 3000 and LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy unite on catchy track “DoYaThing.” The new collaboration combines the strongest features of each artist.
How do you get three busy people like this on a track together? You just let them run free. James Murphy talked to Billboard about the collaboration, saying, ”We didn’t exchange any ideas at all. Damon was basically saying, ‘Let’s just get in a room,’ which, even if it wasn’t Damon Albarn [of Gorillaz and Blur], is a pretty convincing argument, really. To be honest, I was worried that I should prepare something, but went with it anyway.”
